We were approached by Volkswagen to propose a video to showcase the launch of the brand new Passat 2.0TSI Elegance, which had been assembled in their CKD factory in Pekan, Pahang along with the Toureg, Polo and Jetta. The initial brief was to only cover the assembly on the factory floor, but in our proposal we had visualised the promo to not only include beauty shots of the car itself, but also glimpses of the surrounding Pekan area, as a nod to the spirit of the local people, which provide the essential human capital that keeps the VW factory running. Shot over two days on location with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K paired with vintage Nikkor AI-s lenses.
